How to find the Plough Hotel, Yetholm

The Plough Hotel occupies a prominent site in the centre of picturesque Town Yetholm, seven miles south of Kelso (B6352).

The Plough, which stands within one mile of the Scottish-English border, is a natural destination for many families exploring the "B" roads south of Kelso The Bowmount Water seperates the two villages of Town Yetholm and Kirk Yetholm, both of which are surrounded by beautiful countryside in which the majestic Cheviot Hills are prominent.

The area is popular with walkers since it is on the 80 mile St Cuthberts Way , which links Melrose and Lindisfarne, Holy Island: and is also at the northern end of the 250-mile Pennine Way, between Edale (Derbyshire) and Kirk Yetholm. In 1999 Yetholm also became the terminus of an ambitious European footpath, the E2 which will extend in due course across mainland Europe.
